Q: Who is EMKAY International Inc? 

A: For half a century EMKAY International has been providing the jewelry trade with the finest quality precious and semi-precious gemstones.  As a three-generation family business, we are committed to impeccable service, integrity, and selection. From standard cuts to rare and unique specimens, we fulfill the need of gemstone purchasers large and small. Q: Does EMKAY belong to any industry trade groups? 

A: Yes. Since 1977 EMKAY has been a member of the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT). We also belong to the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) to view our AGTA profile Click Here 


Q: Who can register for an account? What is required? 

A: We exclusively serve businesses within the jewelry industry. We require applicants to provide either a JBT # or two business references from within the industry.


Q: Is EMKAY EDI Ready?

A: Yes. EMKAY International is "EDI Ready" and capable of receiving POs via Electronic Data Interchange. Please Contact Us for more information about setting up EMKAY as an EDI trading vendor.  


Q: Will I be charged sales tax?

A: No. As a wholesaler that exclusively sells business-to-business for reselling, we do not collect sales tax. We require you to provide your Business Tax ID or Resale Certificate Number for this purpose while registering for an account. 


Q: What are the delivery options? 

A: We offer local pickup or free delivery in the area surrounding the New York Diamond District. Our standard shipping is sent via UPS 2nd Day Air. We also offer other expedited shipping options including Next Day and Saturday Delivery. 


Q: What is the latest time I can place an order for same-day processing?

A: Monday through Thursday 4 PM EST and 12:30 PM on Fridays. If you make subsequent orders throughout the day to the same delivery address we will combine your packages so you only pay once for shipping, simply select "Ship with Today's Previous Order(s)" in shipping options during your checkout.


Q: How Do I Register For An Account?

A: Please Click Here to apply for an online account.  Typically accounts are approved within one business day. 


Q: Do We Offer Items On Memo?

A: Yes. We offer our signature collection on memo. We have thousands of unique stones. We are still in the process of adding inventory to our online signature collection. Please Contact Us for items not yet listed.


Q: Do you offer accounts with open payment terms?

A: Yes. Select "Open Terms" when registering for an account. All invoices must be paid within 30 days.  Please provide your JBT # for an account with open terms or provide industry references that you've had lines of credit with. 


Q: How do you bill clients that have open terms?

A: This account will have the option to either pay each order with a credit card or deferring payment by selecting “Pay Later”. You will receive a monthly statement for any outstanding balances. If you prefer to pay by credit card, you can close any individual unpaid invoice by going to your order history and select “Pay Now” and follow the secure payment process.

 

Q: Do you sell other gemstones or offer other services not listed on your website?

A: Yes! We have thousands of items not listed on the website. We also do customs cutting, lapidary, and inlay work. Please call or email us for items not yet listed or Click Here to request an estimate. 


Q: Can we send in merchandise? 

A: Absolutely! Our Shipping Address is 48 West 48th Street Suite #201, New York, NY 10036 

We offer lapidary services from pearl stringing to the most complex custom cutting to simple gemstone matching and replacements. We will be adding the ability to submit custom jobs directly from your account dashboard. You can manage, track and approve all estimates directly via this functionality. Q: Do You Accept Returns On Invoiced Items?

A: Besides Custom Jobs, Yes. In addition to offering a large inventory at great prices, we take pride in our customer's satisfaction. Provided the gemstones are in the original condition anhave not been set we will accept returns within 15 days if you are not 100% satisfied. You can initiate a return from your account dashboard by selecting "View Return Requests" or you can Click Here.


Q: Can I Pay An Outstanding Statement Balance By Credit Card?

A: Yes. You can submit a one-time payment by credit or debit card by Clicking Here.


Q: I Forgot My Password, How Can I Log In?
